Established in 2006, place2B is a leading independent inbound tour operator specialising in providing accommodation and ground services for school groups travelling to the UK.
Overview
Challenge
Place2B had an on-premise Synology box offering them storage. Emails were still with CPanel from the webhosts who are Bluehosts. They are based in private office a shared services building, with another IT representative looking after the infrastructure. Within 3 months of taking on an IT Support contract with Tech Engine Australia becasue they’re current company had disappeared, “our file storage is now full, and our emails are slow at sending and receiving. I’m sure there is something better out there for us”.
Solution
Tech Engine Australia, an IT support company providing technical services to businesses in Brisbane and the Gold Coast migrated Place2B’s files which were scattered between personal Dropbox accounts, and a full Synology NAS to office 365 with 2 days notice. The migration was completed over a weekend giving little to no downtime for the users at the tour operator.
Results
Place2B, following the Office 365 migration that Tech Engine Australia completed, now have their files sync’d using Onedrive to their PCs, and are fully using their Office 365 business premium licenses they have invested into. They are able to send IM (instant messages) to eachother whilst on the go, or in the office. Tech Engine Australia offer cloud migration services, so that SharePoint can be untilised as a department level file store. This is exactly now what Place2B have access to.
